I can confirm its smoother for me on unlocked 6950 and Bf3 performance overlay shows a noticeably smoother graph.
Before jumping straight in and removing drivers etc please read the full thread.

Nice find but I found that the 8.93 seem to work best for me!!!!
So I will keep these ones till The official ones are released in march!!!
