Basics of my gaming rig

Its a bit old but still going,
Asus ROG Crosshair mobo
Phenom quad core 9850 cpu
4 gig ram
asus 9500gt 1gb graphics
vista 64

cheap is £50 and below just in case anyone wondered about my upgrades lol

if you got 64bit Vista it uses 1gb of ram before you start i can give you Win 7 64bit (more stable)
also you can more than likely go up to 8gb of ram if DDR2 with 64bit windows  9will help a bit)

only other thing is the GPU  if you can save up 3 x your £50 you can get a BF3 Asus Nvidia 560TI (just under the specs of a Nvidia 295GTX for half the price !)

£30 more to say its BF3 ready with a copy of the game same card i think

The hd4870 can play the game quite well... Its the car that I am using too....

Memory ordered cruiser ballistix sport from Ebuyer  4GB £35 free delivery ( yes I am that tight and yes I can wait).
Next stop better graphics card (thanks Bill)

Graphics card fitted and works great BF3 runs superb for about 1 minute then pc shuts down, think (having chatted to MAV) I need a bigger power supply (OH BUGGER) minimum is 550w mine is 500w onward as they say, will have it sorted by Friday lol

Having had a chat with Jimbo about pc case cooling I decided to do a few experiments.
